Constable Jaswant Singh of 183 Bn, CRPF Unknown 03 militants (fidayeens) entered in District Police Lines, Pulwama, Under P.S. Pulwama, Distt. Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) and started firing upon the troops which was retaliated promptly. During operation an encounter broke out between the troops and the Militants. In the fierce gunfight Constable Jaswant Singh sustained severe bullet injuries He was immediately evacuated to 92 Base Hospital, where he breathed his last during treatment He sacrificed his life at the altar of duty in the service of the Nation.
