Constable N Thirumurgan of 74 Bn, CRPF was deployed for Counter Insurgency Operations ( Anti Maoist Operations) at Burkapal, U/PS: Chintagupha, Distt. Sukma, Chhattisgarh. On 24/04/2017, during area domination in connection with security of road construction, a fierce encounter broke out between CRPF troops and Maoists. Constable N Thirumurgan fought valiantly against the heavily armed Maoists and laid down his life in the line of duty for the Nation. Nation salutes his selfless bravery and devotion to duties.
