On 27th Oct’ 2016 at about 2315 hrs, HC Jitendra Kumar of 127 Bn BSF deployed on operational post Tube well, on Indo Pakistan border, received multiple splinter injuries of mortar shells being fired from across the border, which exploded near him, during a major cease fire violation by Pakistan. Later Head Constable Jitendra Kumar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
