On 24th Oct’ 2016 at about 2315 hrs, Head Constable Sushil Kumar of 127 Bn Border Security Force , deployed on operational area Sangral, on Indo Pakistan border received multiple splinter injuries of mortar shells which exploded near him, during a major cease fire violation by Pakistan. He was instrumental in judging the ill moves of forces across International Border through the Hand Held Therminal Imager deployed at his post. Sushil Kumar later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
